He is survived by: his parents, Robert Patterson Holmes and Mary Holmes (Belsley) of Canton, Illinois; his wife Andrea Holmes of Athens; and his children, Keifer Billy Jack Thompson of Athens, Keely Danielle Thompson of Athens and Charles "Charlie" Wade Holmes of Athens.
