He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Edward and Bessie Faye Hornsby; his wife Patricia Hornsby; his brother Jimmy Hornsby; and his grandson Brandon Whitfield.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Hornsby (Ann) of Murchison, Lisa Hornsby of Athens, Teri Barto of San Marcos and Tom Hornsby of Virginia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home (1910 E Tyler St, Athens, TX 75751). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
