He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Buss and Ina E. McCarty Buss; his brother Curt Buss; his son Paul Gene Buss; and his grandson Christopher Edward Buss, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Lackey Buss; his daughters, Judy E. Buss Doiel (Keith) of Oklahoma and Tammy L. Buss Calvanico (Michael) of San Antonio; and his siblings, Kenneth Buss (June) of Edinburg and Nancy Buss Lankford (Dale) of Henderson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
