She was predeceased by: her parents, Captain Spencer Johnson and Ethel Johnson (Alexander); her husband Dan Elliot Hardy; and her son Phillip Clayton Newell. She is survived by: her children, Richard Newell (Rosie) of Presidio, Steven Newell of Ben Wheeler and Kim Hardy of Seattle, Washington; and her close friends, Larry and Cindie Larragueta of Eustace. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
