She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Soto and Angelica Soto (Zavala); and her granddaughter Evangelina Padilla. She is survived by: her brother Carlos Soto; her husband Julian "Don Carmelo" Padilla of Athens; her sons, Sergio Padilla Soto of Athens, Mario Padilla (Cora) of Athens and Juan Padilla of Houston; and her grandchildren, Yesenia Padilla, Emily Padilla, Joaquin Padilla and Magdalena Padilla.
