Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dewey Shaw of Athens, Texas, born in Mount Ida, Arkansas, who passed away at the age of 87, on January 28, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ivah Shaw and Jenettie Ann Shaw (Pate); his brothers, James Henry Shaw and Earnest Bernard Shaw; and his great grandchild Zakkary Ray Millican.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Shaw (Stinson) of Athens; his children, Cathy Reagan (Maurice) of Athens, Donna Fuller (James) of Fairfield, Robert Shaw and Alissa Sammons of Manvel; his sister Mary Francis Turney of McAlister, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jason, Tracy Reagan, Robert, Stephanie Reagan, Connie Matthews, Tisha, Melvin Laningham, Mark Ralls, Crissy Walker, Shannon Milligan, Jonathan Shaw, Jessica and Patrick Schultz; and his pet Pluto. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in his memory to the Shriners or Scottish Rites Children's Hospitals.
