He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Amos "Gruder" Fitzgerald and Bertha Bristow Fitzgerald; his former wife Linda Fitzgerald; and his son James Kyle Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Anne Richardson Fitzgerald; his children, Susan Layton (Mark) and Michael Bynum (Karen); his siblings, LaDell Martin (Robert), Sue Wylie (Thomas) and Gary Fitzgerald (Kaye); his grandchildren, Kennedy Ballow, Atlas Wolfheart, Landon Bynum (Megan) and Garen Bynum (Dee); and his great grandchildren, Elijah River McCullough, Stella Grace Bynum, Gage Bynum and Aiden Bynum. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
