We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, at the age of 86, Bobby Joe Pyle of Athens, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Pyle and Bonnie Pyle (McConnell); his wife Wanda Pyle (Tanner); his son Darrell Pyle; and his siblings, Joy Pyle, William "Jake" Pyle, Billy Pyle and Odell Pyle.
He is survived by: his children, James Pyle (Vickie) of Mabank, Robert Pyle (Kathy) of Athens and Susan Shortnacy of Brownwood; his grandchildren, Mitzi (Charles), Jennifer, Kerry, Robbie, Dusty (Amanda Jo), Amanda (Dewayne) and Bobby (Pam); his great grandchildren, Oaklee, Hatlee, Kortnee, Damon, Darrell, Keevin, Halee, Shaylee, Malerie, Grace of Avery, A. J., Katelyn and Chloe; and his great great grandchildren, Hutson, Mylah and Tinsley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pyle Prairie Cemetery (14976 Co Rd 4059, Kemp, TX 75143).
