It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Thomas Mitchell of Athens, Texas, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Lynn Mitchell. He is survived by: his father Dana Garvin Mitchell (Jackson) of Athens; his children, Clint Mitchell (Gabby) of Ennis and Taylor Barnes (Cody) of Malakoff; his siblings, Shelly Mitchell and James Mitchell (Mandy) of Athens; and his grandchildren, Evelyn Mitchell, Gracyn Barnes, Elizabeth Barnes and Lochlyn Barnes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
