Bettie "Betty Boop" C. (Cole) Smith, age 88, of Athens, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Betty Boop was born in Dayton, Texas to Lester Cole and Albert Cole.

Betty Boop is survived by her son Bobby Box; and her son Byron Smith; her sister Connie Cole and her brother Michael Cole; her granddaughter Candi Marie Alford, her grandson Harley Box, her grandson Billy Alford, her great granddaughter Jaylyn Scott, her great grandson Travis Box and her great grandson Jordan Box.

Betty Boop was preceded in death by her beloved husband Castle Grant Smith; her son Richard Frawley; her father Albert Cole and her mother Lester Cole; her sister Bonnie Cole; her great granddaughter Haylie Grimes.

Betty Boop will be laid to rest in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
