It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vada Carter Avant (Atascosa, Texas), born in Levelland, Texas, who passed away on February 8, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Horace Carter; her husband George Stanley Avant; her mother Elvira Carter; her son-in-law Earl A. Rudes; and her siblings, Joe Carter, Claude Carter, Charles Carter, Lyndel Kinny and Gladys Carter.
She is survived by : her daughter Carol Rudes; and her siblings, Kenneth Leon Carter, Floyd Dale Carter and Artie Mae Horner. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
