He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Chacon Sr. and Tomasa Campos Chacon; his siblings, Epifanio Chacon and Irma Dimas; and his wife Yolanda Chacon.
He is survived by: his children, Eleanor Esparza (Mario), Brenda Chacon (Monica), Luis Chacon III (Roxanna) and Jose Chacon; his brothers, Raymond Chacon (Gloria), Victor Chacon (Yolanda) and Hector Chacon; and his grandchildren, Luis IV Chacon, Joshua Chacon, Joseph Chacon, Lance Chacon, Jodi Chacon, Celestina Chacon, Destiny Chacon, Gabriel Esparza and Daniel Esparza. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews.
