Gladys O. Vahlenkamp Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys O. Vahlenkamp (Aspermont, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gladys O. Vahlenkamp to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Oeltjen and Emma Oeltjen (Anders); her husband Herbert Vahlenkamp of Old Glory; her siblings, Walter Oeltjen and Edna Wiemkem; and her granddaughter Jimma Ann Vahlenkamp.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Vahlenkamp of Waco and Marvin Vahlenkamp (Brenda) of Aspermont; and her grandchildren, Janie Bailey of Waco, Larry Brown (Kelley) of Birmingham, Alabama, Bill Brown of Waco, Deborah Del Bosque (Frank) of Waco and Marty Vahlenkamp (Megan) of Miles. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-McCoy Funeral Home (1032 S Broadway St, Aspermont, TX 79502). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church (2308 TX-283, Sagerton, TX 79548). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Old Glory Cemetery.
