She was predeceased by: her parents, Booker Washington and Malinda Washington; her husband Lawrence Jones; her siblings, Cornelius Washington and Lula Mae Triplett; and her sisters-in-law, Betty and Berniece Washington.

She is survived by: her son Philip Jones of Arlington, TX; and her grandchildren, Hallie Rose Jones of Arlington, TX, Whitney Ryan Jones of Ft Worth, TX, Amani Rashad Jones of Arlington, TX, Phillip Ramon Jones of Atlanta, GA and Alexis Ruth Jones of Rockford, IL. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
