He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Bass Allen Shed and Otis Allen; his stepfather Lemon Shed, Sr.; his wives, Eula Jean Allen and Margaret Allen; his children, Shirley Simpson, Ernie Scroggins, Debra Scroggins, Terry Allen and Jorge Hildalgo; his siblings, Lemon Shead Jr., Willie Shead, Charles Shead, James Ray Shed, Ida Waters, Virgia Granger, Brenda Pullins, Karen Jean Shead and Annette Johnson; and his grandson Ronnie Ladell Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Dell Allen, Della Reese Smith (JL), Lunitta Gail Allen, Victoria Allen, Billy R. Scroggins, Stella Washington, Phyllis Horton, Sharon Simpson, Jacqueline Simpson, Gustava, Roberta, Lucy, Margarita, Bennie Shead, Kenneth Shead, Lawrence Shead and Cleady Shed; his sister Linda Moreland; and his grandchildren, Andrae Allen, Jevari Campbell, Jermaine Allen, Jamar Johnson, Andrea Atwoods (Arthur), Jetori Campbell, Dr. Adriean Denita Rice and Kanesha Allen.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Alpha Cremation-The Major Funeral Home Chapel (2805 Galleria Dr, Arlington, TX 76011).
