He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Jane and Kenneth Ray Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Retha Pierce; his son Travis (Katy) of Granbury; his grandsons, Tatum and Lane; his son Cameron (Linley) of Arlington, TX; his grandson Abner; his daughter Katelyn (Chad Self) of Midlothian; his grandsons, Boyd, Coleman, Decker and Holt; his sister Jane Ann (Mark Greenwood) of Granville; and his nieces and nephews, Lara, Marci, Shannon Russell, Angela Stephens and Chase Stephens.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the South Chapel, at Moore Funeral Home (1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012). A committal service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund, in honor of his life and service.
