He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Raymond William McLeland; his wife Juanita; his children, Bryan McLeland, Eric McLeland and Thomas McLeland (Tabitha); his stepchildren, Tony Pesina (Maggie) and Andy Pesina (Amy); his mother Yoshiko McLeland; and his grandchildren, Aeris McLeland, Austin Hingst, Audrey Hingst, Tony Pesina Jr, Maykala Pesina, Trenton Pesina, Valeria Deluna and Matthew Deluna.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
