She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Bowen (Crowe) and Carlus Bowen; her brother Carlus Bowen Jr.; and also Joshua Garcia. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lewis Bowers; her sister Sylvette Abbott; her children, Brian Bowers (Marianna), Cathy Alfaro (Jose) and Shawn Bowers (Kathy); her grandchildren, Christina Garcia, Brandyn Bowers, Jared Alfaro, Evan Alfaro, Mitchel Alfaro, Carissa Alfaro, Brett Bowers and Blake Bowers; and her great grandchildren, Joshua Alfaro, Elias Garcia, Liliana Garcia, Adelina Alfaro and Emily Bowers.
