He is survived by: his parents, Vivian Thompson and Jose Gomez; his son Alex; his wife Becky Gomez; his son Aaron Gomez; his stepfather Wylie McLain; his brothers, Brian Gomez (Ruthie) and Jason Gomez (Kelly); his sister-in-law Karen Stoltenberg (Wayne); and his parents-in-law, Dan and Betty Kithcart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ranch Hands Rescue Human and Animal Sanctuary in Argyle, TX.
