He was predeceased by: his parents, William Palmer Patton and Emmett Rice Patton. He is survived by: his wife Marian Patton; his children, William Patton II (Lynette), Mark Patton (Jana), James Patton (Ginnie) and Betty Lawson (Greg); and his stepsons, Scott, Mark and Penn Stegall. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
