She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Cordelia Greenhaw and Virgil Cook Tims; her son William Tims; her husband Bill Tarkington; and her sister Sylvia.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Regena; her grandsons, Tyler and Cory Tarkington; and her niece Helen Cordelia.
