Verna Yarbrough Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Yarbrough of Archer City, Texas, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Verna may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Verna touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verna Evelyn Yarbrough and Sewell Thurlow; and her sisters, Carol and Gloria. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Stone of Archer City, TX, Brenda Stone of Archer City, TX, James Yarbrough (Kim) of Winston Salem, NC and Barbara Norton (Jason) of Round Rock, TX. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gafford Chapel Cemetery (6491 TX-11, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
