He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Munoz (Mark) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Margaret Ann Ortiz of Corpus Christi, Texas; his siblings, Jose Ortiz, Jr., Ramon Ortiz, Sr., Johnny Joe Ortiz (Joann), Della Fuentes (Tony) and Frances Murphy (Nathan) of Aransas Pass; and his grandchildren, Heaven Meza, Mia Munoz, Heart Meza, Mikaylee Munoz and Mark Anthony Munoz, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
