He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Elizalde; and his sons, Ricardo T. Elizalde and Michael Elizalde. He is survived by: his daughters, Diana E. Rangel and Ada E. Cantu; his grandchildren, Kevin Siebeneicher, Ricky Elizalde, Sonny Cantu, Stephanie Pelham, Melissa Cantu, Danny Elizalde, Mathew Cantu, Jeffery Elizalde, Lupito Elizalde and Jacob Elizalde; and his close friend Shorty Elizalde. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
