He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Shedd of Aransas Pass, Texas; his brothers, Randall Shedd of Sinton and Ace Shedd of San Antonio, Texas; his sons, Melvin Shedd, Jr. (Tonya Shedd) of League City and Johnny Shedd (Nicol Shedd) of Shelbyville; and his grandchildren, Brennan Shedd, Darren Shedd, Paige Shedd and Makenzie Gass. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
