He is survived by: his brothers, Billy Tyson and Bobby Tyson (Vicki); his great grandchild Troy Flanigan; his wife Carol; his stepdaughter Virginia Gaines; his grandchildren, Ashlee, John Tyler, Sarah and Chad; his great grandchildren, Meilah, Jaela and Ashton; his former wife Ruth Tirpak (Jim); his children, Jerry L Tyson Jr. (Shirley), Karl Tyson (Elizabeth) and Beverly Tyson-Traweek (Leslie); his brother Larry Tyson (Donna); his grandchildren, Susan, John Tyson (Jennifer), Celeste Oakes (Eric), Heather Jack (Vance Clark), Kristen Connor (Chris), Jennifer Mathisen, Cheaney, Marissa Mathisen and Herbert "Kyler" Mathisen IlI; his great grandchildren, Evan "Tank" Tyson, Sterling Tyson, Xander Oakes, Kaleb, Sookie, Joseph, Jesse and Jinger; and also, Marissa Mathisen, Eugene Gaines and John Gaines. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and further extended family.
