He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Cornelius Phillips and Dorothy Emma Farr; and his sister Patsy Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Betty Phillips; his daughter Terri Snellgrove (Charles); his grandchildren, Brandon Patton (Jessica), Bryan Patton (Jody), Jennifer Phillips (Roel Garza), Jimmy R. Phillips Jr., Kelley R. Phillips, Gene Phillips and Traci Martinez (Oso); his great grandchildren, Luke Hill, Eli Garza, Bailey Patton, Taylor Patton, Hunter Patton and Blake Shedden; his siblings, Leslie Phillips (Pat) and Sandra; and his brother-in-law Lewis Cowan.
