He is survived by: his children, Wanda Hale, Johnnie Batten, James Grossman and Michael Von Heuvel; and his sisters, Ruby Tucker (Sister) and Marie Hicks. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
