He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Grottie and Reba Grottie; and his brother Trennis Grottie. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Grottie; his daughters, Kim Cothes (Chris), Kelsey Grottie, Cheyenna Grottie and Laramie Bonham (Nikki); his sister Lecia Couch; his grandchildren, Megan, Tyson, Savannah, Sierra, Avery, Ella and Titus; and his great grandchildren, William, Gage, Colton and Aiden.
