He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Gerik and Irene Gerik (Muehlstein); his wife Martha Kavanagh; his brothers, Tim Gerik and Dennis Gerik; and his brothers-in-law, Ernie Janek and Marshall Matthews.
He is survived by: his stepson Brian Rothstein; his siblings, Debbie Janek, Kathy Matthews, Jerry Gerik Jr. (Denise) and Ronnie Gerik (Marsha); his sister-in-law Linda Gerik; and his nephews, Christopher Janek, Kevin Janek, Jason Janek, John David Janek, John Gerik, Paul Gerik, Joshua Gerik, Ronnie Joe Gerik, Jacob Gerik, Zachary Gerik, Daniel Hill and Michael Hill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption Clerical Endowment Fund.
