It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Kay Adkins of Anson, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Higgins and Pauline Higgins (Colclazer); her former husband Virgle "Butch" Drake; and her husband Curtis Adkins. She is survived by: her son Benjamin Drake (Kezia) of Waxahachie, TX; her stepchildren, Larry Adkins (Rocio) of Fort Worth, TX, David Adkins (Raynette) of Denver, CO and Cindi Cross (David) of Denver, CO; her sisters, Dorthey Kreger (Garland) of Cibolo, TX and Helen Radde of Sterling City, TX; her grandchildren, Benjamin "Anson" Drake and Katie Drake; and her stepgrandchildren, Zachary Adkins, Lynzie King, Erik Adkins and Adam Adkins.
