He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodolfo Ayala Perales (Nazaria Silva Peña) and Nazaria Silva Peña; and his siblings, Isidro Ayala, Emma Perez and Ofelia Benavidez.
He is survived by: his wife Catarina Ayala of Lake Jackson; his children, Rodolfo Ayala Jr. (Claudia) of Laredo and Perla Karina Marroquin (Arnoldo) of Angleton; his sisters, Rosa Padilla, Amparo Talley (Jorge) and Olga Ruiz; his grandchildren, Salma Ayala, Ulises Ayala, Arnoldo Marroquin Jr. (Johana), Alondra K. Marroquin (Arturo Treviño) and Arleth Marroquin; and his great grandchildren, Michelle Paloma Treviño, Dylan Marroquin, Iñaki Marroquin and Yorley Marroquin. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
