He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shanklin Sr. and Sorella Hooper Shanklin; his wife Betty Shanklin; and his brother Delbert Shanklin. He is survived by: his children, Carl Bruce Hall, Basharn Shanklin (Rhonda), Phyllis Shanklin and Shawna Shanklin; and his brother Sylvester Shanklin. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
