He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thomas Jr. (Sunny) and Marie Thomas (Godwin); his brother Floyd Walling; his grandson Cody Hipp; his brother-in-law Benjamin Hudson (Ben); and his nephew Benjamin Hudson.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Walthall (Janie), Rodney Thomas (Anneliese) and Tammy HIpp (Dale); his grandchildren, Adam Walthall (Rachael), Travis Walthall (Kalli), Robert Thomas, Rachel Cole (Michael), Colby Hipp (Megan), Karlie Hipp and Dustin Hipp (Hailey); his great grandchildren, Weston Walthall, Robin Walthall, Alice Walthall, Carter Cole, Addison Hipp, Ryann Hipp and Oaklynn Hipp; and his siblings, Janice Hudson and Michael Thomas (Beverly). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
