He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Rives and Leona Helen Rives (Cahill); and his wife Joyce Ann Rives. He is survived by: his friend Joyce Ann Hill; his daughters, Renee Ruston (Roger Singletary) of Angleton, Dianne Ruston (Scott Dunlap) of Katy and Susan Horridge (David) of Austin; his grandsons, Steven Ruston of Los Angeles and Spencer Horridge of Austin; his sister Bobbie Elliott of Columbus; his siblings-in-law, Jamie Hill (Sandra) of Brazoria, Billie Joe Hill (Bea) of College Station and Marie Hill of Angleton; and his nephews, Ken Elliott, Glenn Hill, Jon Hill, Allen Hill, Peyton Hill and Morris Massingill. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
