He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hurta and Dora Mae Hart Hurta; his wife Charlene Hurta; and his siblings, Dora Jean Smith, Billy Joe Hurta and Howard Lewis Hurta.
He is survived by: his sons, Chris Hurta (Donna) and Mike Hurta (Genelle); and his stepchildren, Roger Thomas (Stacy) and Tina Thomas (Tammie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (2001 Katy Ave, Bay City, TX 77414).
