She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ollie Cooper and Lottice Phillips Cooper; her husband James Weldon Sawyer; her sons, Gene and Jim Sawyer; her siblings, Ruby Carpenter, Linnie Eitel, Bonnie Todd, Earl, Chester, Carl and Ernie Cooper; and her great grandchildren, Jonathan Moore, Jr. and Jayce Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Sawyer of Andrews, Mitch Sawyer (Michelle) of Andrews, Venita Shellman (Mike) of Anaheim, CA and Joretta Woods (Ken) of College Station; and her siblings, Gene Cooper of Crystal City and Evelyn Swinney (Ken) of Hobbs. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
