He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Ann Teekell; his children, Peggy Thurston of Andrews, Maurie Hazlewood (Mel) of Marble Falls and David Miller (Margaret) of Crosby, Texas; his sister Bennie Baker of Thibodaux, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Cameron Miller (Sarah) of Kingwood, John Scott Miller of Humble, Lauren Zuniga (Ray) of Crane, Steven Thurston (Lauren) of Uvalde, Jessica Varner (Brook) of Andrews, Andrew Finley (Ali) of Austin and Ashlie Finley of Austin; and his great grandchildren, Arya, Grayson Miller, David, Ailidh, Parker Zuniga, Robert, Quinn Thurston, Hudson, Walker Varner, Caleb and Caitlyn Finley.
