He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard and Velma Lavon Lyons Baucom; and his sister Barbara Kirk. He is survived by: his close friend Kendall Robertson of Andrews; and his sons, James Ashley Baucom, Jr. (Sonya) of Alvin, John Baucom (Patti) of Pinehurst and Jimmy Mack Clayton (Pam) of Magnolia.
