He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Borman (North); his wife Bernetta Kautz; his father Oliver Dahl; and his brother LaVerne Dahl. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Bains (Bradley) of Midland and Paul Nelson of Austin; his grandchildren, Ashley Howell (Ross) and Brensen Bains (Meg) of Midland; his great grandchild Bo Bains of Midland; and his siblings, Sharon Herbel, Maynard Dahl (Joan) and John Dahl (Sandy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McNett Funeral Home (705 N Main St, Andrews, TX 79714). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Andrews Old Cemetery (1401 W Broadway St, Andrews, TX 79714).
