He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Saldaña, Sr. and Josefa Castillo Saldaña; his son Esteban Saldaña, Jr.; his siblings, Santiago Saldaña, Jr. and Anita Saldaña; his brother-in-law Pedro Madriles; and his nephews, Francisco "Kid" Estrada and Manuel G. Saldaña.
He is survived by: his wife Juana Mesa Flores of Andrews; his children, Margo Saldaña of Lawton, Carmaleta Saldaña of Oklahoma City, Estefani Saldaña (Fernando Dueñez) of Carlsbad and Sidney Mihecoby of Geronimo; and his siblings, Maria (Richard Salerno), Francisca Madriles of Andrews, Alejo (Adelaida Saldaña), Susy (Marcus Rushing) and Jesus J. (Aurora Saldaña). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
