He is survived by: his wife Rosabel Castillo; his children, Jason Vela, Lindsay Vela and Jaime Garcia; and his sisters, Lily Irion, Linda Vela and Becky Puente. He is also survived by his children, his wife and in his later years, his grandchildren.
