He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rankin Payne and Joanna "Ault" Payne; his wife Erlene Payne; his siblings, Wilbur Payne, Grady Payne of Albert Payne and Mary Payne Burke; and his grandson Brent Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his children, Stan, Stanley Payne (Rhonda) of Ft. Worth, TX. and Dolores Shoemaker (Larry) of Andrews, TX.; his grandchildren, Staci Kolb (Steve) of Andrews, TX., Jim Payne (Kristi) of Andrews, TX. and Neil Payne (Serena) of Andrews, TX.; and also Janis Payne of Andrews, TX..
