He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hoffart and Dora Schaub Hoffart; his daughter Diane Hoffart Hinze; his son-in-law Trinston James Harris, Jr.; his siblings, Albert Hoffart (Dorothy), James Hoffart (Shirley), Florence Schmidt (Neil), William Hoffart, Aggie Clark (W. L.), Katherine Moore (Robert), Johnny Hoffart, Martin Hoffart and Alberta Adams (George); and his brothers-in-law, Floyd Muse and Ike Chmiel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Leigh Cook; his children, Richard Hoffart of Anderson, Daphne Kopycinski of Navasota, Glen Schmidt of Navasota, Susan Harris of Navasota, Judy Kimich (Walter) of Schiro and Donna Beth Holton (Donnie) of Magnolia; his siblings, Charlie Hoffart (Mary) of Magnolia, Rose Muse of California and Dorothy "Tippy" Chmiel of Houston; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Hoffart of Houston and Judy Hoffart of Houston. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and a great number of friends.
