She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Canatella and Josephine Palasota Canatella; her former husband James Frank Szymczak; and her sister Minnie Marie Crouch. She is survived by: her husband James Kennedy; her sons, Frank Szymczak (Jennifer), Clifford Szymczak (Tammy), Patrick Szymczak and Tim Szymczak (Debbie); her brother Charlie Canatella (Lou Ann); her brother-in-law Frank Crouch; and her grandchildren, Taylor Ramirez (Oscar), Josie Risinger (Jillian), James Szymczak, Frank Szymczak, Jr., Amber Fox (Bailey), Logan Szymczak and Cody Szymczak.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church (1511 TX-90, Anderson, TX 77830). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
