He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Curtis Smith Sr. and Gemima Lee Smith; his son Curt; his siblings, Jeanne (Dale Hunnicutt) and Ernest Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Chowning, Gene Russell, Gene Elliott, Wilbert Emshoff and Margie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Ruth Emshoff; his grandchildren, Alexa Lippman (Matt) and Colin Smith; his great grandchildren, Luke and Bryce Lippman; his siblings, Phyllis Elliott, Lela Chowning and Robert Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Lorene Smith, Evelyn Russell and Clarence Emshoff (Geraldine). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
