He was predeceased by: his grandparents, E. E. and Mary McPherson. He is survived by: his parents, Robert "Robbie" Cody and Janie McPherson Cody; his significant other Hannah McGraw Cody; his children, Chelsea Cody, Christopher Bostick and Addam Cody (Michele); his grandson Miles; his brother Chris Cody; his niece Ava Grace Cody; his aunt Darlene McPherson Pagels; his uncle Mark Pagels; his cousins, Kristin, Trent, Kyla, Tyler Hart and Gramie Carolyn D'Arcy Lewis; and his in-laws, Kenneth, Debbie McGraw, Troy and Kaitlin Buhler. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made in his memory to the Chambers County Veterans Association.
