He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloron Akin and Emily Kitlinger Akin; his wife Nawana Akin; and his son Steven Akin. He is survived by: his children, Becky Akin Morton (Gary) of Willow Park, Texas and Gary Akin of Amarillo; and his siblings, Clorene Ruthrauf of Amarillo and Eddie Akin of Amarillo. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren; numerous Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
