It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Duerksen of Amarillo, Texas, born in Butler, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Bellah and Francis Bellah; her husband Johnny Duerksen, Sr.; and her siblings, Johnnie Lloyd Bellah, Thurman Bellah and Inez Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Thomason (Jeff Thomason) of Amarillo, Sharon Veazey (John Veazey) of Joplin, MO, Johnny Duerksen, Jr. of Amarillo, Scotty Duerksen of Amarillo and Ben Duerksen of Amarillo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
