She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Milford, Alice Rutz, J. O. and Evelyn Cates. She is survived by: her children, Avery and Caden Echevarria; her parents, Ben L. Rutz and Bonita Jean Cates; and her brothers, Dana Rutz and Ben James Rutz.

“Shana was the best friend that I have ever had. Shana was kind to me, just like God is. Shana and I talked and shared ALOT together, about God. She had been walking me through the loss of my Mother, ever since April of 2021. I, just, heard today that Shana entered into eternity on 6/23/23. God blessed me, abundantly, with the lives I got to share with Mama and Shana. I am, anxiously, awaiting to see them, both, again - in heaven. -Tim Barlow”
